County officials urge April 8 primaries registration and note March 10 is final date for all voters. New voters or those with changes must register at the county clerk’s office or through deputy registrars in rural areas. Anyone turning 21 before April 8 or voting for first time in this county must register.

The Foss school mothers club will sponsor a Valentine party on February 14 at the American Legion hall. The event starts at 8 p m with refreshments, a pink and red centerpiece, and red candle decorations. Mrs Clyde Sheridan chairs the affair with other volunteers handling tickets and the refreshment committee. Proceeds fund a museum trip for the children.
Joliet hosts the annual meeting of the YMCAs young adult council with delegates from across the state. The session starts at 9 30 Sunday. Officers will be elected and a five category program plan discussed including public affairs programs marriage preparation and Christian and coed groups. William Woelfe and Catherine Pappas are nominated for president and secretary respectively.
Tickets will be available at the door and may be obtained from any club member. Flying backward is a stunt only one landbird can do the humming bird.
