Commuter Fare Hike Set for January on GM&O and Santa Fe Lines
Illinois Commerce commission granted a 20 percent fare increase for Joliet and Lockport riders on the GM&O and Santa Fe routes into Chicago starting Jan. 1. About 225 daily commuters from Joliet Lemont Willow Springs Summit face higher costs. six Santa Fe luxury riders from Joliet would also be affected if 25 ride tickets are kept.
