Will County approves $149000 relief bond after five ballots
The Will County Board authorized a $149000 bond issue to aid Emergency Relief for the poor and needy. Chairman William J. Murdock cited 28,000 residents receiving relief and noted the bonds will be repaid from county tax revenue from the state gasoline tax for January to March. The final vote on the fifth ballot was 37 to 15, meeting the two thirds requirement.
