County Officials Pose Ahead of Election Contest Case

Man fires empty revolver injuring friend at club

Frank Mozina walked into the Silver Eagle club and fired a revolver joking that it was loaded. Charles Dornich was shot in the left thigh and taken to St Joseph's hospital. Mozina was jailed and to answer to State's Attorney McCabe.

Merchants Report Stolen Goods Ring Arrest in Joliet

A man identified as James Martin of Dexter Missouri was arrested after attempting to sell stolen items at the Joliet Loan Company. Police linked the thefts to merchandise from Sears Roebuck Montgomery Ward and the Boston store totaling hundreds of dollars. Martin denied talking as detectives and merchants questioned him at headquarters while awaiting a confession.
