Ray Shea of the Will County Trades and Labor Council announced a city wide Labor Day celebration Monday. Plans include a huge parade and an all day outing at Oak Grove Rocke with marshals and key participation by the working men.
Will Rogers stars in Steamboat Round the Bend at Ri Alto Theatre in a four day engagement starting Sunday. The film pairs Rogers with Irvin S. Cobb as rival Mississippi river steamboat captains in a race that critics hail as his greatest. In Old Kentucky, still unreleased from Hollywood, follows the Rogers/Cobb pairing in a separate project.
