Dedication Set for U S O Service Center in Joliet
The new U S O service center at 179 Desplaines street will be dedicated Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 o clock in the new club rooms for men in the armed forces. The Alexander Lumber company donated the building rent free for the duration and Joliet merchants helped furnish and fix the quarters for the center. A quiet room will be provided for reading and writing. Mrs Elizabeth Bishop and Mrs E P Lannon arranged the final details.
