Wade Gardner, renowned territorial rider, was badly injured during a broncho attack observed by Al Hanson near Union County. A doctor required 14 stitches for Gardner, who faces an estimated two to three months of recovery after the fierce encounter.

Tom Walton of Mora Mora county travels to Las Vegas to arrest A S Bushkevitz of Roy Mora county on a worthless check charge. Bushkevitz had left town. Walton says a July $15 check drawn on a Roy bank was returned as no funds and not paid. Walton held a deputy sheriff commission from Sheriff Gandert to seize Bushkevitz.

Mutiny at Reform School Assault on Assistant Superintendent
At noon Friday three inmates attacked Assistant Superintendent Samsell in the Reform School dormitory. They beat him with a chair and poker, causing gashes on his face and head. A breakout attempt was halted by Ed Keenan's assistance. Samsell's injuries are not considered dangerous.

Farmers Busy Cutting Hay in This Vicinity
Farmers in this vicinity harvest a splendid crop of gamma hay covering much of the prairie. The hay is of finest quality, being baled and brought to market. Ray merchants pay 12.00 per ton and store it in warehouses, securing feed for winter. With large forage crops and good range prospects, the feed question seems settled for the season.
Aged Lady Mary A Hatcher Dies in Roy Oklahoma
Mrs. Mary A Hatcher aged 43 of Pay town Oklahoma died suddenly Sunday at 6 30 PM of paralysis at the E F Ivey home east of town. She had lived with the Iveys since their move to Roy and was aunt to Mrs Ivey. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the residence with burial to follow. She left two sisters who could not attend the funeral. One sister resides in Wisconsin and another in Arkansas.

Roy Public Schools Open Full Term With 78 Pupils
The Roy Public schools opened for the full term last Monday with 78 pupils enrolled. Prof. Johnson leads the high school and is assisted in other grades by Mrs Romine and Miss Jardee from Wagon Mound. Many pupils are getting vaccinated and preparing for fall and winter terms.
