California supporters push to clear doubt over leader Johnson while rallying to back the league. The event emphasizes unity and readiness for upcoming actions to strengthen leadership and league plans.
President Wilson faced a continuous Pacific to capital bound ovation during a California Los Angeles stop on his daylong tour in support of the League of Nations. The former governor Hiram Johnson warned that the League risks U.S. sovereignty and entanglement in European quarrels, contrasting with Wilson and California enthusiasm.
A bureau changes its byline on coverage of President Wilson’s tour adopting a new masthead The Independent Nowe Beran and will distribute to about 8600 papers.

J A Purcell of Pasamonte New Mexico serves as a Woodmen of the World deputy in Roy to boost membership and insurance. A Roy group held an unveiling ceremony at the Roy Cemetery at three pm for the monument to Ed Cook who died at Solano last fall from the flu as Mrs Cook adds to the monument fund.
J. E. Wildman completes counters and shelving for his general merchandise shop in the old picture show building. He handles carpentry himself and plans an all day sale and basket dinner at Mills School House four miles east for Sunday October 5. The Wildman Cash Store will open in a few days with a full stock.
