The AT BEST FAIR ASSOCIATION invites men and women to join a development band. November 27 at 2:30 p m Row Theatre. Officers and Directors urge cooperation and support for progress without prejudice.
Election returns indicate Mesa will be well represented in the next State Legislature meeting in January at Santa Fe. Lower house picks include J. W. Beck Roy Leroy H. Brock Mills and Orrin Beatty Mosquero. Upper house to be represented by N. Mitchell Albert. With these figures, a new county seems likely. residents urged to support the candidates and back the effort.
Luella Pendleton marked her 43rd birthday last Monday with a party for about 85 friends at her northwest town home. The evening featured lively games and stories, followed by a 10 o clock luncheon prepared by the hostess and her son Miss Aileena and Edina helped, as guests departed with best wishes and many gifts.

The R E Morris sale 24 miles north of Roy last Thursday succeeded with items selling well. Col George Cochrane served as auctioneer and F L Shultz was clerk. The team congratulated themselves on the sale. A baby boy born to Mr and Mrs A J Monday on the 15th. Dr Self reported all affected doing nicely except Andy, who was able to get out on the section later in the week.
Wm. G Johnson reported the death of his longtime friend Henry Gillmore last Monday near Stewardton Timóis. Gillmore, known to Mesa elders, had formerly homesteaded east of town in the Mitchell-Paton area.
The editor notes a rare Friday miss due to poor train connections and other troubles since taking over the paper. They describe one lapse in three months as not bad for new beginners and explain Thursdays are avoided to prevent news from aging in the next issue.
