A 7 year old boy suffered severe facial injuries while another claim says Oscar Aspgren’s sons shot his brother with a 29 rifle. The youths were arrested and face charges though they deny being near the scene. Authorities suspect a dynamite cap or cartridge may have caused the accident.

Marie Dorothea Verner Johnson born April 25 1848 at Grebro near Stockholm immigrated to America aged nineteen. She married Jacob Johnson July 22 1868 in Whitehall Michigan and raised 15 children 8 surviving with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She died October 24 at age 71 in Montoya Pocket Roy New Mexico with funeral at Roy Christian Church conducted by Rev C W Hearn.

Mr J W McMinimy of Frankfort Kansas visits his sister Mrs F A Roy.
Elizabeth McNama daughter of Mr and Mrs Rollin McNama of Albuquerque married Chester Ray Scott of Roy on October 22. The couple arrived in Roy and were greeted by friends. They toured to the groom’s parents home and later returned to Albuquerque where Chester works at the bank and Elizabeth begins married life.
