Hospital Transport For Mrs Floersheim In Trinidad

Mrs. Floersheim, gravely ill at her Roy home, was moved to Trinidad Hospital for urgent surgery by Dr Freudenthal. Accompanied by Dr Self, family members, and friends, she awaits operation as doctors advise it offers the best chance of life. Willie Yarbrough survived a road accident, later regaining consciousness at Plumlee Hospital. He is recovering and aware little of the event. Lofton and L. W. Wilson attended Masonic Lodge in Roy last Thursday.

Masons Hold Important Meeting At Acacia Lodge

Acacia Lodge held a notable Masonic gathering with Thirty Second Degree Scottish Rite members observing the Feast of the Passover at 6 PM The Blue Lodge conferred the Third Degree on a local candidate The lodge is growing rapidly and many Thirty Second Degree masons are members deserving congratulations.

Birthday Party Honors Maude Kern and Cora Hern

A birthday party at the home of Mr and Mrs B J H Roy honored Misses Maude Kern and Cora Hern on a near date to their nineteenth birthdays. About 20 young friends attended with games and a fine lunch served by Mrs Roy and the Hern and Kern sisters.

Mrs Floersheim to Undergo Operation After Trinidad Trip

Dr. T F Self and Melville Floersheim joined Mrs J Floersheim on a trip to Trinidad last Friday then returned to Roy Sunday. They report Mrs Floersheim endured the journey well and will be operated on within a few days.

Harding County Abstract Company Formed in Mosquero

The Harding County Abstract Company becomes the first corporation in the new county after filing articles with the State Corporation Commission. Offices will be in Mosquero with $25,000 capital stock, $2,000 subscribed, incorporators from Mora led by C. A. Strong as president.

Easter Service Planned by Christian Endeavor Society

Amendment Stock Raising Homestead Instructions Notice

February 18 1921 Department approved amendment to stock raising homestead entry forms and affidavits. Applicants must supply an added affidavit per the amendment indicating land not claimed or occupied under mining law and unappropriated. New forms not printed until supply runs dry. commissioners require affidavits before new stock raising applications.

A mass meeting will be held at the Spanish-American Office on Monday evening March 28 to discuss school matters including consolidation. Baptist Church groups invite members and friends to a Get Together reception at the church on Friday April 1 at 7 30 PM. Bring one guest as part of a cordial community event. Andres Trujillo, notable Solano rancher, was a Ray visitor and is enthusiastic about Harding County. Mrs Foley returned to Vaughn with her daughter Shaya’s mother for a short visit. BASE BALL MEETING IN ROY DISCUSSES NEW GRAND STAND

Enthusiastic meeting in Roy last Monday evening approved buying new baseball suits and selling old bleachers to fund a new grand stand. Finance donors from business community praised. a committee including Paxton Flavvell Brown Justice Floersheim to locate grounds for a new diamond. Roy Band to play at games this season and receive one third of gate receipts.

Birthday Party for Mr Bagwell at East Town Home

Mr and Mrs C R Bagwell hosted a birthday gathering Saturday evening with many friends in the east part of town. The host teased Mr Bagwell about his age perhaps between 20 and 40, a fine lunch followed. OES ladies were entertained at the Brown home last Thursday with a lodge visit and luncheon, all reporting a pleasant evening.

Crime Wave Strikes Colfax County Roiling Raton and Dawson

Colfax County faced a surge of crime in the past two weeks with several hold ups and at least one murder. Local taxi driver Charlie Swick was killed on the Gardner road about a mile from Raton as two men robbed him of $50 and his watch after a violent struggle. Wolcott L. Russel returns from Amarillo after attending Case Auto School with positive impressions. farmers also gathered for the event.

Rev W A Dawn organized a B Y P U with Fannie B Hughes president Clinton Bagwell vice president and Ruth Hughes secretary treasurer There are 35 charter members and 56 attended the first regular meeting Their first social is set for Friday evening April 1 at the church Joe Mitchell Wm Hill and Romigio Lopez will appear before the Mora County Board of Education regarding Pleasant View Districts remonstrance on consolidating with Solano District The county body is in Mora to hear the matter and decide the consolidation question
