Clyde Talbot of Solano and Scott Smith of Mesteno conducted business here on Tuesday. J P Martin of Mesteno and F M Hughes of Solano did the same on Thursday and Tuesday respectively. J B Wetherby, J P Sersain, Melville Floersheim, and others traveled to homes in Kansas, Gracemont, Montana, and Colorado. Local landholders completed homestead commutations, while Roy residents and others visited, reported crops and rain, and noted cattle and grass conditions.

Mora notes report the Board of County Commissioners in session as the Board of Equalization sets the annual tax levy. A new Precinct No 24 Solano will align with School District No 36. Justice of the Peace Jose Basilio Garcia and Constable R H Carson were appointed. The proclamation creates School District No 37 Mesteho. Congressman W H Andrews visited Mora with local leaders greeting him at the courthouse. J B Melugin seeks bail via habeas corpus for murder case. Mora merchant Dan Casidy buys the Metzger corner and plans a modern merchandise store.
Fine rains improve crops in Mesteno as residents report planting corn and mile maize. W. L. Sutton taps a water well near Masteno, while several locals travel for business or visit relatives in Cabeza and Gracemont. Sunday gatherings at M. W. Mills ranch and Lambert’s dinner party mark a pleasant end to the week.
