Central notice from Ernest G. P. in Roy advises taxpayers to send the amount due per notices from Clayton and Mora to begin July 18. Receipts to follow by postcard. tax records transfer will take weeks. Do not contact Mosquero for amounts. pay now before August 1.
Notice invites Roy residents and chamber members to a Tuesday 8 PM gathering at the Spanish-American Office to discuss urgent matters for community growth. Officials urge attendance to aid Roy and Mesa development.
Reading circle examination will be held in the afternoon of July 21. All other examinations occur July 22 and 28. The examinations are under Rov Edith M Coffeen County Superintendent of Schools. Dallas businessman H C Kemper, state representative of United States Loan and Investment Co, plans to appoint R P Shaya to represent the firm in Harding and Mora counties. Misses Gladys and Cora Hern and Maud Kern hosted the Baptist Auxiliary Sunday School class at the Wm G Johnson home Tuesday evening with games and a late dainty lunch. Floersheim Mercantile Co reports a car load of poultry hog and fence wire this week and will offer it at a big reduction price, urging buyers to act now.
Harding County Summer Institute finished last Saturday with over twenty teachers in attendance. Mrs. Coffeen praised the institute and Conductor Mrs. Leona Logue and Instructor Miss Pankratz, who are hoped to be rehired for 1922. The School Board met Friday, reviewed budgets, and postponed furniture purchases while inviting continued support for a strong small high school under Supt Hendricks. Roy villagers welcomed the return of the institute and the Board planned budget work with the County Board of Education for the 25th.
Notice announces Roy Lodge No. 46 Knights of Pythias will convene Monday night July 18. All members are urged to attend for officer elections and other important matters. Signed by V V Caris C C and J C Hester K R 8.

Full day program includes speaking and singing, big basket dinner, ample ice water, with program to be published soon by J R Hepburn secretary. Also mentions July 11A gathering hosted by Mr and Mrs Frank Banks of Mofax in honor of Mrs Banks birthday with Roy attendees listed.
Notice to all Republican voters in Harding County announcing county wide primaries in every voting precinct for selecting one member to the County Central Committee for two years and as a convention delegate to Mosquera New Mexico on July 26 1921 to elect a permanent Chairman. The call urges broad advertising and Republican success across county state and nation with emphasis on American principles and industry. TE Mitchell and Remigio Lopez sign as temporary leaders.
Roy knocked the Springer lineup for three homers to Springers one as heavy hitting highlighted a ragged game on the Roy diamond. The trip to Raton in muddy conditions wore on the players and Roy faces Kephart next Sunday with Hephner rumored to pitch possibly delivering another top performance.
J E Mahoney departs for LeRoy Minnesota to oversee holdings for the rest of the summer. He rented southeast Roy farm to J H Lansbury for a wheat crop this fall. Axel Magnusen and family from Crafton Nebraska plan wheat planting on the Mesa with tenant Joe Mitchell.
The Encampment in Roy installed executive officers R C Grunig and E F Henry as president and chaplain, with B Carry and J Beck as wardens. Appointed officers included Floerschim, Lewis, Strong, Gibbs, Mitchell, Davenport, Hern, and Holmes. Editor Johnson ill, Douglass visits Roy for plans on Harding County High and County Institute. Terral visits and preaches at Christ Church. Henry Lebert of Mills seen on hotel business in Roy.
Sister Reginald Mary Bradley a Chicago native and former music instructor died after months of illness at a boarding school in Chicago. Funeral services were held at St George church with Gregorian Requiem mass. burial followed at Roy Cemetery. The Sisters thank Oblate Fathers and friends for support.
