Kansas Club Meeting at Roy School House Success

Guests were fed at three tables for business men social visitors and the Martha hosts who recalled memories of the Sunflower State. Solano man survives freight accident and returns home
Hally Johnson of Solano rode a through freight from Roy last Friday. The train failed to stop at the Solano water tank and Johnson jumped from the moving train at about 20 miles an hour, injuring his face. He was unconscious for over an hour but recovered with only a marred countenance. Feeling Slugher left for Alva Oklahoma to visit his old home and plans to return with Oklahoma settlers to the local homestead.

Mrs Russell Suffering Measles Ends School Disruption
Mrs Russell wife of Prof J E Russell fell ill with a measles outbreak on Sunday. She secured Postmaster Wm G Johnson as substitute to teach her classes until she recovers. The epidemic is nearly over and schools will incur little further disruption.
