Christmas Eve Program Brings Joy to Roy
A large crowd packed the New School Assembly room for a Christmas Tree and program at Roy. Over five hundred attended as more than two hundred children performed on stage and three hundred stockings were filled with candy nuts and oranges. Santa Claus delighted youngsters and the event closed with thanks to contributors whose generosity spread cheer and the spirit of giving.

Roy Union Sunday School elects officers for new year
The Roy Union Sunday School held its year end session on Sunday December 27 and elected officers for the coming year. Rev G R Hall was re elected as superintendent with G R Abernathy as assistant superintendent and Miss Gough as secretary. Miss Nettie Griner will serve as treasurer and organist while Miss Lillian Griner is librarian and Miss Opal Scott is listed as librarian. The treasury ends the year with a comfortable balance despite Christmas Tree and charitable donations. Supt Hall also serves as president of the Eastern Mora County Sunday School Association and plans to visit district schools to encourage the work.
