At the Roy village meeting the trustees and Mayor unanimously passed an ordinance to issue 45000 bonds for water works. The plan includes buying five lots near oil tanks and the baseball park, drilling a well 800 to 1100 feet deep, and laying water mains on main streets. Also notes routine staff changes and local school updates.
Fr Vachon and workmen found many windows broken while preparing the Sisters house for visitors from the east. Seven large panes were shattered to repair the damage. The project is praised as a credit to Roy, while vandals are sought and blamed for the act. The piece hints at juvenile mischief and suggests a beating could be a remedy.

The Endeavor Meeting led by Misa Gray last Sunday evening was lively but ended early so attendees could reach the Baptist Church for Rev. Dawn's services. Next Sunday Mise Ntta Hornbaker will preside, with a promising program expected.
The Village of Roy Mora County New Mexico unanimously adopted an ordinance authorizing forty five one thousand dollar bonds to fund a water works system. The bonds dated November 1 1918 bear six percent interest payable semi annually and are secured by a tax levy and village faith and credit.
Mrs Ollie Williams of Solano and James W Johnson Jr became husband and wife after a secret trip to Tucumcari. The bride, an ex reform school trainer and avid homesteader, is praised for farming and teaching, while the groom is noted as a lifelong bachelor. An official memo from the Denver ARC headquarters outlines the disposition of donated calves. Calves may be gathered for a public auction when weather allows, with Irvin Ogden assigned to oversee collection and sale. Donors can reclaim donated calves, and calves may stay with the herds until sale conditions improve.
