The Spanish American lists pensions for New Mexico residents with monthly amounts ranging from 8 to 30 dollars. Names include Juana Archuleta Las Vegas and Eugene Fruitticher Ft Bayard, among many others. The notice closes 1907 and wishes a prosperous 1908 year.
A Christmas Eve Commercial Club ball drew a large enthusiastic crowd. Music by Dr and Mrs Brown kept guests dancing into the night. Program included Grand March and Waltz March of the Moors Two-step Lindy Polka Gladys Jolly Fellows Quadrille Two-step Spoon Time.
The Xmas exercises under teachers care drew large attendance and ran smoothly. The program featured songs like Merry Christmas and Christmas Bells, numerous recitations by both girls and boys, and group items such as Mother Goose and Her Children and a Garland Drill led by Mrs. Baum with the Snow Brigade and sixteen babies saying Goodnight.
