Roy residents organized The Mesa Patriotic League to raise funds for the Red Cross Liberty Loan and War Savings Stamps. A large crowd attended a Patriotic Meeting Saturday evening with a vocal and instrumental program, a dance, and proceeds to the Red Cross. Liberty Bonds and Thrift Stamps sales rose as planning for the May 20 Red Cross Drive began, with E. P. Brown chairing a committee that named R. E. Alldredge as Drive Chairman, J. Floersheim Vice Chair, and C. L. Justice Treasurer. The exact quota remains to be announced.

Rev Heaton and wife depart for Kibbey Oklahoma in ambulance Ford
Reverend W C Heaton and his wife left Saturday morning in a Ford car remodeled into an ambulance to take her to her parents at Kibbey Oklahoma for the summer. She had stayed at Plumlee Hospital cottages for Tubercular patients with little improvement. Heaton continues his ministry despite the long drive and will return as soon as possible to resume work on the circuit.
