Child Lost Near Roy Found Safe After Long Search
A 6 year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Henry Garzina from the old Lewis ranch southwest of Roy wandered 8 or 9 miles in the canyons. She was found by A F Livingston near the Strong ranch south of town the next day and was unharmed aside from exhaustion. Bank officers J W Harris and George Hunker visited from Las Vegas and reported optimism for a bumper crop on the mesa. A baby girl was born to Mr and Mrs C R Hoskins east of town, with all doing well. The town and surrounding area were quiet as residents helped search and many closed shops during the effort.

The Spanish American reports the death of Mr Haworth father of Mrs Marion Conner at his son’s home in El Reno Oklahoma on the 12th inst He was nearly 93 years old and had visited the mesa often giving many addresses to the local community.
