Laguna Seca Auction Brings Spring Cheer to Roy's Guests
A spring season kickoff at the Biasel home two miles east of May featured an auction in honor of their daughter Phoebe who returned from Las Vegas for vacation. About fifty guests attended with W. Fred Ogden as auctioneer. The event included a two course luncheon and several solos, ending with warm goodnights to the hosts Mr. and Mrs. Biasel as Roy’s sacristy world enjoyed a lively evening.

A two year romance culminated last Saturday at the Methodist parsonage in Alamogordo with Rev Edward Lebreton performing the ceremony uniting J A Spencer and Miss Frances McDonald. The couple, both well known in Santa Fe social circles, left Carrizozo at noon and returned that evening married. Frank Telfer, a Santa Fe fireman, was fatally injured when a projection from a moving passenger train near Raton struck him. He was found unconscious in the cab and died after being taken to Raton. The incident occurred as the engine hauled No. 8 on a double-header.
