Donnie Gibbs youngest son of Dr Cia Gibbs was struck by a car at slow speed near R T store. He suffered a crushed arm bruises and a bitten tongue and was taken to Dr Gibbs’s office for treatment. He was later cared for at home and is reported doing nicely. Also notice tractor school dates adjusted to April 4 and 5 in Roy, inviting interested attendees.

School Bonds Sold for District No. 33 to Denver Firm
The school board approved selling a $50,000 bond issue to Antonides and Co of Denver Colorado at 5 cents on the dollar. Funds will be ready in a few weeks to begin building the new school by October first. The board plans to solicit bids for the basement and expects construction to be $10,000 to $15,000 cheaper than a year ago. Local residents Mrs H I Russell and others attended Tuesday meetings.

Roy School District mass meeting plans new buildings
About 40 to 50 residents discussed a new Roy Public School Building and a separate Harding County High School Building. They aim to use $55,000 for a 12 to 14 room facility with a basement and $10,000 to start a nucleus for a County High School, with bids sought for basement work and debris removal.

Box Supper at Baptist Church Promises Music and Fun
A community box supper and program at the Baptist Church on Friday evening April 5 starts at 7 30. The Roy Independent Band provides music throughout the event. Admission is free but attendees are asked to bring a boxed meal and help a good cause. All boys and girls ages 9 to 99 are invited.

St George's School Social Brightens Patricks Day
St George's School hosted a St Patrick's Day social for graduates in grades five and six. The event featured green and gold decorations, green ribbons, games, jokes from Rev Father Vachon, and a luncheon of Jello, marshmallow cream cake, lemonade, and nuts. Students later played tennis before returning home. Earl McMinimy received a surprise 8th baby girl from Mrs McMinimy at Plumlee hospital.
