Arrangements made for Roy Telephone Co to finish lines to Springer and Tacumcari with full operation expected by June 1. Two carloads of telephone posts and wire ordered. The company has awakened from lethargy and local phones are being installed, urging community support.

Mosquero Dance Supports Water Tank Project

The editor notes a party attended the Mosquero dance and box supper last Saturday night. Proceeds from boxes totaled 52.75 dollars with roughly two dollars per box. A colt, bred from a top imported draft sire, arrived and was claimed by C. J. Cunningham of Springer after a brief hold, with Cunningham refusing 100 dollars for it at eight months old.

Stranger Lyons Found Dead in Solano Ash Heap

A man identified by papers as John Lyons of La Junta Colorado was found last Saturday in a Solano water tank cinder pile likely suffocated by engine exhaust. State Superintendent and aides tour Mora county schools

J. E. Clark of Santa Fe and Blas Sanchez of Wagon Mound visited Mora county schools, observed Professor Johnson and his pupils, praised local teachers, and noted progress. They toured Solano and nearby rural schools, then left for Springer with positive recollections.

Tragic Wagon Accident Claims Life of Rhineer Palmer

A severe farming community tragedy as Rhineer Palmer, aged about 60 from Seilyy ing Oklahoma, died after his wagon ran away near home while returning from a 15 mile trip with his sons and a neighbor. He fell from the wagon and sustained a fatal skull fracture. The incident, likely instantaneous, leaves his death as a notable loss to local homesteaders.
