Unfortunate accident delays Socorro mare and rider
A serious racing accident occurred yesterday on the street between Hon. W. E. Martins residence and the Illinois Brewing plant. Dan Sullivan rode Socorro Maid to race training. the mare tripped, tumbled, and Sullivan sustained a broken thigh socket. The pair were taken to Doctors Duncan and then to the stable for care as the extent of injuries remained uncertain.

Deer may be hunted October 15 to November 30 with one per hunter. elk mountain sheep beaver and ptarmigan are protected at all times. antelope pheasant bob white quail and wild pigeons protected until March 15 1910 with fines up to 100 dollars and 60 days, turtle dove with gun only July 15 to May 1 with 100 dollar fine. wild turkey mountain grouse prairie chicken with wan only October through December, quail native with gun only October to January. long and insectivorous birds prohibited.
