Independent Republicans Hold County Convention in City
A faction of So corro county Republicans met yesterday amid discontent with county conditions and pledged allegiance to national Republican principles. They nominated B. S. Rodey for Congress and W. H. Andrews for district council, endorsing Democratic county candidates. Promoters accuse the current setup of one man rule, with full convention details to appear next week in The Chieftain. The Rathbone Sisters plan a ball Friday night at the Knights of Pythias hall with refreshments Sunday evening. Admission is $1.00.
