The Civil Service Commission will hold an exam for men seeking forest ranger positions on April 23 and 24, 1908. Tests cover national forest uses with a practical field test to show fitness for ranger work. Apply by writing to the Civil Service Commission in Washington, or to a forest supervisor.
Hon. Solomon Luna traveled through Socorro en route to his Magdalena sheep ranches and noted fine rain on stock ranges. Prof. P A Marcellino of San Antonio visited and reported Carthage mines in full operation and Elmendorf advancing the Bosque del Apache grant. Pupil nurses sought for St Joseph Training School for Nurses in Albuquerque with inquiries to the Sister Superior.
