Socorro State Bank Proposed by Local Leaders
Socorro county begins forming a new bank with capital of 30000 dollars, largely subscribed by county residents. Joseph Price will be principal stockholder and serve as president, with outsiders barred from involvement. The move draws broad backing from leading businesspeople and signals a new era for Socorro. Mrs. M Cooney hosts a pink and green themed reception at her McCutchen Avenue home for about forty friends, with a large guest list and courteous remarks by the hostess.
