Mountain Lions Captured Near Silver City
Three vicious mountain lions were trapped eight miles from Silver City by workers for George Spencer and associates at Camp. A two year old steer killed by the animals was found, and the lions were captured after a long effort using rope and hogtying, then placed in a cage. The cubs were easier to subdue than the old lioness, which nearly escaped several times. All three lions are now caged and will likely be sold to a zoological garden.
