Bad Man from Belea Arrested After Bank Robbery
José Salas, who shot a young man in the back at Belen and robbed him of 380 in gold, was captured at Socorro as a southbound train arrived. He met Deputy Sheriff Bob Lewis and was jailed in Valencia county before transfer to Los Lunas for prosecution.
