Last week's cattle prices averaged higher than in fall 1902 with Wednesday marking a high day. The week ended roughly steady with good to choice cows and heifers up 10 percent, fat steers easing 15 to 20 cents from the prior week. Market activity was steady to 10 cents lower. 8000 head offered, $6.60 top for heavy steers, prime Angus yearlings at 7.75, Panhandle heifers at 5.65 for car loads.
