Ebberts Metz ger and wares locate a promising coal outcrop about six miles south of Challis on Salmon River. Ebberts discovered the ledge on a fishing trip. one foot of solid high quality coal burns intensely. Locals expect width to widen with depth and rail improvements next year to make the venture paying. Also notes Boise Republicans neglected the national platform of 1900.
The Idaho Republican convention at Boise labeled tariff planks as treasonous, urging a revision to free list every article controlled by a monopoly. They argued trusts stifle competition and called for regulation and suppression, noting echoes with Iowa and Kansas City platforms.
Delinquent on Charles Thierry six shares from Stanley Basin Minine Co Idaho City Boise County due 50 dollars. Shares will be sold September 24 1902 at 10 am at the County Recorder's Idaho City office to pay delinquent assessments plus advertising and sale costs. H L Fisser secretary. First pub Sept 9 1902.
