Fire in Nevada mine costs seven lives at Giroux shaft
In Bayhorse Nevada early today a fire swept the new first compartment shaft of the Giroux Consolidated Mines company. Seven men were killed and three injured as flames trapped workers at the 1400-foot level. Bodies recovered include Drea Gilmore Odolvich and Foley. Michael Foley died later at a hospital.
