In Mackay Idaho on August 27 1908 the Republican county convention elected J C Fox W G Sweet and L E Dillingham as delegates to Boise they are instructed to back Hon James H Brady for governor and to support Burton L French for Congress Weldon Heyburn for the U S Senate and George Coryell for State Mine Inspector The platform denounces religious domination in politics and calls for forwarding the party slate and Challis to nominate the county ticket

Despondent Bayhorse resident found dead in cabin

George Telfer hanged himself in his Bayhorse cabin on a Sunday afternoon. Coroner Ebberts held an inquest. Despondency cited as likely cause. Telfer had lived in Bayhorse 24 years. aged and well known. Also notes death of Mrs Aurilla Butters in Burnham Maine aged 77. Report of John tal land dying in Boise.
