The Republican County Convention met in Challis on Monday Oct 1 1900 with 31 votes represented. Geo B Baldwin was elected agent chairman and F A permanent secretary. The resolutions reaffirm Republican principles and endorse the national and state platforms while inviting broader citizen cooperation. The ticket lists John F Evans as State Senator and Michael as Representative. N M Buick, formerly a Pop, is billed to speak for the gold party in Challis tonight and in Clayton tomorrow night.
