Challis School Reorganizes Classes. Strong Enrollment Noted
The Challis school has been in session three weeks with reorganized classes for advancement. Forty students are in the elementary room including seventh and eighth grades and part of the sixth. The intermediate room is led by Miss Lois Felkner with 24 scholars. the primary department, led by Miss Vada Rogers, has 27 students. Music instruction is emphasized. Miss Kelleher visited and two geography classes were recited. The compulsory education law is not affecting District No. 1.

At the Chal lis Republican convention 27 votes were cast with 14 for a majority. For Assessor the tally was Burnett 114, VanCamp 105, Elder 5. Only one ballot was used and Burnett received the nomination though not a majority. VanCamp believes he would have won with another vote despite doubts of a fair deal.

Last Wednesday Challis and Pahsamaroi faced off on the Challis diamond. Pahsamaroi won 23 to 10 in a one sided game. Challis players hardly practice ball and usually lose. Fans showed unusual enthusiasm despite the lopsided score.
