Mrs Hollie Elder locates on Pleasant Avenue Challis and invites back her old customers from the Boyd hotel era on Main Street. She offers reasonable board rates and asks strangers and former patrons to call and see how well she serves.
The Board of County Commissioners of Custer County Idaho calls for proposals for county printing for one year starting the second Monday in January 1809. Bids cover all legal notices publications election tickets and instruction cards required by Idaho law with bid bond twice the contract price. The board may reject any or all bids and bids must be filed with the Auditor by the second Monday in January 1809.
The Board of County Commissioners of Custer Idaho invites sealed proposals for the care and maintenance of the indigent sick and dependent poor for one term. Bids due by the second Monday in February with bonds at twice contract price. Proposals must include full provision of hospital grade care including medical and surgical needs.
The record lists numerous names including Arch Howell Geo McGowan and J W Foulkner as attendees. Auditor fees noted and per diem allowances recorded. The Board adjourned sine die in Indiana County, Custer County, with Gro E Kryss as clerk and certification of the proceedings for November 18th 21st 1898.

Fragments recount a vow about love and loss with moral lines, then list Christmas Tree Committee members in Boise Idaho and club officers for Custer Lodge No. 21 L O C F, plus notes on a Bayhorse visit, an autumn party at the I C O F hall, a $10 doll raffle won by Geo E Keyes, a new floor by J C Dougherty, and Dr F S Pyle attending a Houston grand hop.
A public notice seeks a long-eared distressed animal described as delapidated one-eyed and forlorn. The reward is offered and the owner urges contact with details leading to recovery. Local authorities and dogged neighbors are mentioned in the appeal for return.
A Bayhorse notice by GEO. HARLAND offers a reward for a rooster stolen during the night of the 28th. The proprietor says he cannot identify the culprit but will pay for the return of the fowl brought back voluntarily. Nick Johnson had given the bird for Thanksgiving dinner.
