Parker Mountain Prospecting Focus of Idaho News

The Parker Mountain region in central Idaho is described as a rugged but inviting land rich in timber streams and game. Early prospectors Williams and Adamson discovered gold quartz ledges near Warm Springs creek in 1903, with development now ongoing by Parker Mountain Mining Co. and associates. A successful 16 ton ore sample yielded values of 222 per ton, and ore ships continue as the area remains remote with high transport costs.

Death of Mrs Al Jineger in Salmon

The Salmon Herald reports the death of Mrs Mary E Jensen Jineger at 3:10 AM Sunday from pneumonia after two weeks illness. She leaves husband Al Jineger and three children Ritta Vera and Valda. Born Fort Kearney Nebraska June 14 1865, she was a Challis native and charter member of the Rebekah lodge. She was buried under Royal Neighbors honors in Salmon.
