Parker Mountain Prospecting Focus of Idaho News
The Parker Mountain region in central Idaho is described as a rugged but inviting land rich in timber streams and game. Early prospectors Williams and Adamson discovered gold quartz ledges near Warm Springs creek in 1903, with development now ongoing by Parker Mountain Mining Co. and associates. A successful 16 ton ore sample yielded values of 222 per ton, and ore ships continue as the area remains remote with high transport costs.
