Thomas B. Wilde and S F Hunt arrived in Challis to witness six assayed samples from the Turtle group near Bayhorse. The ore, eight tons, yielded an average of 198.89 dollars per ton in silver lead and copper, with copper up to 12 percent and lead up to 40 percent, the vein two feet wide and extending for 3000 feet.
Wat Minnick reports taking up one gray horse on November 4 1903 four miles north of Challis town. The horse weighs about 900 pounds with a man left stifle brand and a white nose spot. Owner must prove property pay charges and claim the horse. First publication November 17 1903.
