Stage lines between Challis and Mackay with daily first class service on the Thunder Mountain route. Stages arrive Challis 4 a.m. depart 6 p.m. carrying passengers mail and express and linking with connections to Custer and Lemhi counties.
Notice of application by Lyttleton Price for three lode claims Valley Creek Creston and Deep in Yankee Park Mining District Custer County Idaho. The description includes claim extents from discovery, widths, and bearings with references to official plats and field notes. Public notice warns adverse claimants to file within sixty days from first publication October 28 1902 with the U S Land Office at Halley Idaho.
United States Land Office announces Julia Funkhouse of Challis Idaho has filed to prove desert land claim No 722 for the NW half NW quarter and other specified sections. Before U S Commissioner L H Johnson at Challis on November 19 1902 witnesses named to prove irrigation and reclamation. First publication October 14 1902.
On October 20 a solitaire 1 1 32 carat Belcher mounted ring with size 12 disappeared from the Mackay and Central Idaho Stage Co. A $25 reward is offered for its return or information leading to a conviction. Public cautioned against purchasing the ring. contact Mackay and Central Idaho Stage Co. Ltd. W. Piercy AS.

All persons indebted to me are requested to call and settle by November 1902. Hal Waddleton announces in Challis Idaho his intent to close all accounts by November 1 1902.
Incomplete returns from numerous states show Democratic gains and Republican losses. New York favors Democrats to gain a majority in the house. Missouri reports sixteen Democrats to one Republican. Other states split or lean, with several still in doubt, and a few Republicans retaining control. Also noted are local moves by W. E. Hanna and family to California for the winter and visits by Prof. C. A. Maple and M. S. Hicks.
Notice details a 1 6 percent per share assessment by Yankee Fork Gold Mining & Milling Co due to be paid to S D Hillard in Blackfoot Idaho. Delinquent stocks will be advertised for sale on December 10 if not paid by November 15, with costs of advertising. The document also includes an estate matter in Custer County about sale of real estate for George Coffran’s estate, with a court date for show cause on November 28 at Challis. It closes with a desert land notice for Daniel C Breyer in Challis, listing witnesses and deadlines for proof of desert claim ADA for sections 30 and 31.
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Challis Sporting Association will be held at the Court House in Challis on Wednesday evening, Nov. 12th, at 7:30 o'clock, for the purpose of rendering a report to the public, and for other business as may come before the meeting. Notes cover mining prospects at Loon Creek, winter snow in the mountains, and local business plans in Challis and Stanley. An art reception for Mrs. R. S. Nickerson is planned in Challis for Friday afternoon.
