Incomplete returns show Taft leading nationwide with the exception of the Solid South, Nevada, Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming. Idaho is claimed for Taft by 15,000 and Brady by 5,000. Custer county elected a Democratic slate including State Senator Ravenal Macbeth and Sheriff Kerr with 59 votes in Challis.
