Bascom House at Willow Creek Ranch Dickey Idaho promotes itself as the last stopping place before mountain passes on the Mackay to Salmon River Valleys route. E W Bascom, proprietor, promises to spare no pains to make the travelers home in Central Idaho with reasonable terms.
A mocked prospectus touts 100 million shares at a cent each to fund a device for life extension. A cash offer of 900 million is claimed for securing daily life spans of Methuselah and other long-lived figures. The letter, signed ENEAS GRAPH and Mayfield alias, hints at a staged investigation to extract ancient wisdom for the price.
Amos Ik Zeigler, California wife murderer, died in San Quentin after nearly four years on death row. Once weighed around 225 pounds, his weight rose to over 200 pounds as officials feared his execution would be grim. He murdered his wife near Santa Cruz on August 6, 1900, pleaded insanity, was jailed for life, won a new trial, then resentenced to death on May 26, 1902 amid repeated stays.

Democratic Party officials announce primaries in Custer county precincts on May 23 1904 to select eight delegates for the Democratic State Convention in Welser Idaho on June 6 1904. Delegates allocated to Battle Ground Baybors Clayton Custer Challia Houston Mackay Pabsamarol Seed Stanley per party orders. Interim officers J P B Spalding chairman and Geo E Reyes secretary dated April 30 1904.
Public notice announces a sheriff sale of land in Challis Custer County Idaho on May 31 at 2 pm at the county courthouse. The sale follows a 1919 judgment for 419.18 with interest and costs, naming Chas. Jones Wa Babcock and others as defendants. First publication May 16, 1961.
