District Meeting of Rebekah Assembly District No 7 Held at Challis
The October 1900 Lewiston session created seven Rebekah districts including No 7 covering Lemhi and Custer. A January 1901 first session was at Salmon, followed by a June meeting at Challis. The Challis gathering, with about thirty members present, included officers elected, papers read, prizes awarded, and a banquet later hosted by Silver Leaf No 27 with a social dance and festive decor.

Valley Creek mine shows a promising 90 foot ledge near Seafoam
Stanley dredgings note cool weather and season end as cleaning bedrock begins. Road Overseer Jose improved The State road and Yankee Fork roads. Charles Crane traveled from Salt Lake to Bulldog mine Seafoam. Lyttleton Price arrives from Hailey with eight men to Valley Creek mine and reports a 90 foot wide ledge with trace copper and gold values, though grade may be low. Price, a Mines School graduate, plans to search higher up the mountain. A recent Indianapolis judge rules opening a jackpot with counterfeit money is not an offense.
