Challis district approves bonds for new High School

On June 4 the patrons voted 101 in favor and 15 against bonds to build a High School in Challis. W. J. Lamme was re elected Trustee for three years. A two room addition to the present building will house a High School department with three teachers this year, four if needed. Building hoped ready for fall. This marks a victory for local higher education and keeping education in county at low cost.

Loon Creek School District Proposal in Idaho

Petition on file with the Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction seeks to form a school district aligned to the Loon Creek Mining District boundaries in Custer county. The Board of County Commissioners will consider at the July 1906 meeting. Louise Bascom signs the notice from Challis.

Notion of Sale of School Bonds Sealed Proposals

Sealed proposals are invited by the School District No 1 of Custer county Idaho for six coupons bonds totaling 3000 dollars. They mature 1908 through 1913 at 6 percent interest, payable semi annually, with principal and interest to be paid in Challis. Bids due noon July 11 1906, incl accrued interest. Sealed bids sought for Challis school addition project

The Challis Idaho School District invites sealed bids by July 12 1906 at 2 pm for lumber stock or brick additions to the school building. Bid bonds double the bid amount, bids sealed and marked Proposals for Building an Addition to School House, plans on file at the Clerk’s office. The Board may reject any bid.
