Fire damages Dr L P Jacobsen home in town
Last Wednesday afternoon at about 2 o'clock fire destroyed part of Dr L P Jacobsen's east town residence causing about 200 dollars in damage. The blaze reportedly began when a lamp was knocked over by children and exploded, reigniting later that same afternoon.
Fire destroys well built Custer county residence
The building and nearly all contents were consumed by fire. Former owner Fred Phillips had the home and furniture insured for 8000 dollars, but the insurer will not near cover the losses. Also noting a wedding in Challis, Alvin West and Miss Mamie Fuchs wed at Sh Wm Hanna’s residence with best wishes for the couple.
