New Hotel Opens in Boyd Building Main Street

Mrs Hoeizle proprietor announces the opening of a new hotel in the Boyd building on the north side of Main Street one door east of Watson and Jordan. The notice promotes board and lodging at reasonable rates with meals priced at 50 cents for a single meal and one dollar for three meals. It highlights superior market-supplied tables, banquet support, sample rooms for traveling salesmen, and white staff.

New gold quartz strike on Estes Mountain reported

Public notice from Challis dated July 4 1899 states warrants against Custer County current expense fund Nos 24 26 28 30 82 33 34 will be paid on presentation with 7 percent interest if presented within sixty days from the notice.
