Yellow Jacket and surrounding camps mine boom in Idaho
The Yellow Jacket district in Lemhi county Idaho along with Blackbird and Wilson creek camps shows a booming mining scene. The Idaho Yellow Jacket Gold Company under P J Cirkel operates 60 stamps with 200 ton daily capacity and a new 800 ton tramway planned. The New Columbia Gold Mining Co controls Columbia Lincoln Estevan groups with 16 tunnels and a chlorination mill being prepared. Ore values range from 10 to 40 dollars with copper in several ledges, and new strikes at Columbia and Hoodoo creek promise a spring rush with 75 claims staked and 30 men at work.
