Bulldog Rescued After 14 Days Adrift in Atlantic
The British steamship Bulldog was rescued in mid ocean on December 19 after 14 days adrift. The U S scout cruiser Birmingham saved the vessel and its crew living on crackers and sardines. Captain Sullivan saluted Captain Fletcher with thanks as a rescued cat became the Birmingham mascot.
