Local items cover slander fears and a cascade of small town notices. Reports mention Hicks Cochran visiting, saloon bans for minors, doctors on trips, a new physician arriving from Denver, school suspensions due to mumps, and notable resident Charles S. Jordan ill. Other notes include fires, deaths, law changes, and community events across Challis and Salmon, Idaho.

The village council of Challis enacts that no person under sixteen may roam streets alleys or vacant lots after nine PM in May to April and eight PM in October to March unless with a parent or guardian or on necessary business. Violations carry fines up to twenty five dollars. Marshals to arrest offenders and report details to the next council meeting.
Lost Packer Mining Company informs Myron Sunseovs co owner in the Lode Stone Fraction quartz claim in Loon Creek District Custer County Idaho that $33.33 is due for the 1907 labor plus $15 ad cost. If unpaid within ninety days after full publication the claim will be forfeited to the subscriber per statute. P J Sheahan agent. Ivers Idaho January 2 1908 first publication January 7 1908
A forfeiture notice from Boise Idaho dated January 2 1908 states Tae Norms or Jonx Brees must contribute shares of expenditure for two mining claims Joba Mabao and fom Pettit on Sheep Mountain Seafoam Mining District Custer County Idaho. If not, the claimant EB H Uasbrouck will claim interest under section 2224. First publication January Tech 1405. Also unrelated Chicago report on a newly found fragment of Mark 16 14 from Egypt.
The document lists term dates for counties in the 6th Judicial District for 1908. It names Bingham County with April, May 4, Oct 26 for Custer County, Fremont County on September 14, Lemhi County April 20 and September 28, and James M. Stevens as judge with dates November 23.
The Ordinance No 155 fixes annual salaries for the Village of Challis officers. The City Attorney earns 100 dollars per year, the Clerk 100 dollars per year, and the Village Marshal 40 dollars per month. Passed December 28, 1907, by Chairman Joseph Rodgers with Clerk AY W Adamson attesting.
