Judge Stevens Reverses Fee On Multi Claim Proofs
The Idaho Supreme Court reversed a district court ruling and held that county auditors may charge 50 cents for each mining claim covered by an affidavit of proof of labor. The Empire Copper Co. v Henderson case concerned filing fees for 30 claims. the court interpreted the statute to apply per claim.
