Miss Ida H Hanna of Challis wed James C Jensen of Custer Idaho on November 26 1902 at the brides parents home in Challis The ceremony by Judge Jesse G Finnell followed by luncheon Many local residents attended and the couple received numerous gifts before departing for Custer to start their marriage.

Old Pioneer Pilliner Dies at 76 in Idaho Town

William H Pilliner aged 76 years 7 months died at Mt Home Idaho on Wednesday November 19 1902 He was an early West pioneer reaching California in 1848 Born in Bristol England April 19 1826 He lived in Jamaica and Philadelphia before enlisting in the Navy for the Mexican War He arrived on the Pacific coast in 1848 and later worked as a photographer He married Eliza McGuire in 1860 He was a charter member of the Improved Order of Red Men and Apollo lodge No 128 I O O F He moved to Mt Home in 1899 and left a widow one son and two daughters Georgia Swan and Nelia Brewer He was well known in Challis where he also lived and worked in photography.
