Mrs. Dollie Huff Jones, born in Virginia October 3 1857, married to Simon P Jones on December 1804, died August 6 1908 at Ellis. Funeral held at Challis with interment in Challis cemetery. The obituary notes a long illness and reflects on the dawn of a new day.

Parker Sawmill and Mines Near Challis Begin Boom

Parker's sawmill will start this week under Bert Wilson with ore storage under Supt Adamson as Parker district mines push ahead. The Parker mine, Edwin Williams group, and nearby prospects yield high grade ore. the three owners hold one third each and plan wagon road extensions to Mackay, with post office service hoped three times weekly. There are 30 to 40 workers now, making Parker a growing mining camp near Challis on Warm Spring.
